Safari Days

we went to a very cool place called Lazy 5 Ranch…a drive through animal safari – super fun!!! Have never seen so many animals SO up close! The car needed a good bath afterwards, that’s for sure.

Moving Up Day

So he’s now officially a Kindergardner! He still has a few days left of school, but his teachers included the Pre-K’s with the kindergardners so he officially moved up! He gets to stay in the same class room next year, so our emotional toll was not too high this time, we’ve already had the “oh my god he’s in school” at the beginning of the year, so now we just get to enjoy learning tons of new stuff. You should see this boy READ!

so today was andrew’s official 5 and a half birthday! he has wanted a surprise party since my last bday…so we surprised him!!! half a cake, half a table decorated, half hot dogs, half wrapped presents…

and a great big super sized hug for me

he was so surprised, and so happy…is it any wonder we do these things for him?

Easter Egg Hunt

our 4th? annual easter egg hunt…. small group but fun! the bigger they get the harder it is to keep up with them. Thankfully my niece kinsey came up to help out. More time for us moms to sit around and chat.

School Fun Day

so we had a peace parade (his school is a Montessori school and alot of their teachings revolve around Peace), We got to march for a mile to his school, the kids had a blast and so did we. Then we had a fun day carnival.

what a great time of year to go to the zoo. we got there early in the AM and all the animals were out and about…so fun!

Visit with Uncle Mike

So uncle mike came to visit from CA, or as andrew calls him “tall uncle mike” b/c gerald has a brother mike too, he is “short uncle mike”. we had a great visit, and andrew misses him already.

this is the most snow we’ve had in a long time, a good 5-6 inches, and our little boy was in heaven! got to sled, throw snowballs, we even got to shovel! he had a blast playing with his cousin. and 2 days of no school, doesn’t get much better than that!
